Naturally it makes a difference what kind of flowers I buy and the closeness of the relationship will determine what budget criteria I end up using. Sometimes I give planting flowers which can be used as a memorial and have more meaning.

We like being appreciated when we accomplish something, so if a friend of mine was fortunate enough to get hired at a company they really wanted to work for, or they achieved good grades in an exam, that would be an occasion. Another would be when a family member or a close friend had a baby, my flowers would be right there with the rest of them on the maternity ward.
Get well & stay out of trouble.
There are other reasons to send flowers to someone in the hospital, maybe my brother or sister, in-laws, or someone else I feel close to took a turn for the worse and ended up being admitted to the hospital, I would appreciate flowers sent to me, so why not send some to that person. Then there was the time that I forgot to buy flowers for our anniversary and ended up in the doghouse, what a huge mistake.
The important women in my life.
It is not a good thing to forget your anniversary, but can you imagine what would happen if you forgot to send flowers and candy to that special someone on Valentines day? Thankfully I always remember to send flowers on that date. I have never forgotten to send flowers to my mother on mothers day, there wouldn’t be a dog house big enough for me if I made such a mistake.
